Biwenger rules

General rules

  1. Each user receives at the beginning of the game or a new season a complete team and or balance, depending on their league configuration.
  2. The status of the players is information provided by outside suppliers, and their character is purely for guidance and should in no case be determinative of the decision to line-up a player.
  3. During the transfer market of the different competitions, players will be able to modify both their position within the field and their team, as stipulated by our data provider.

Points

  1. The winner will be the one with more points at the end of the season. In case of a tie, the user with the highest Team Value will be champion.
  2. Before the beginning of the match day, the system will record the lineup and team strategy established by each user. The dates of the beginning and end of every match are indicated in the Calendar available in the Home tab. These dates may be modified due to changes in matches, postponements or other different circumstances Biwenger.
  3. Only lined-up players will receive points.
  4. If your balance is negative at the exact beginning of the match day, you will not receive points or bonuses, even though you would get back a positive balance at the end of that day. Consequently, the active challenges would be marked as lost.
  5. You will be penalized with -4 points for each unoccupied position in the lineup of a day, unless the lineup is completely empty and then you will receive 0 points.
  6. On every match day lined-up players will receive points. The score is calculated according to a set of specific criteria. Below you can see the available formulas for calculating points.
  7. After each match day you will receive a balance based on the achieved score and your league options. In the event of a tie of points by two or more users, the user who has a higher value of lined-up team in that day will be above the ranking, taking as reference the value of the players at the start of the match day.
  8. In the case of a tie of points in the calculation of ideal line-up, the player with the highest value is used in the ideal lineup, and the one with lowest value in the profitable lineup, taking as reference the price of the player at the moment of the beginning of the match day.

Transfers

  1. You can't place bids above your Maximum bid.
  2. Bids by free players are processed when your time in the Market expires, adjustable in your league options.
  3. Bids for free players are secret and the highest bid wins.. In case of a tie, the first bid wins.
  4. The market will make you an offer to buy players in sale, for +/- 5% of the market value. This bid will be withdrawn if it is not answered within a maximum period of 2 days from its creation.
  5. Offers between users will expire in a period of 7 days from its creation unless are answered by the recipient.

The basis of valuation are the grades (picas) published in the journal Diario AS:

If a player scores, gets these points depending his position:

F3 points
M4 points
D5 points

For a penalty you will receive, regardless of player's position, 3 points.

In case of an own goal, you won't receive any point for the goal.

A sent off player is penalized by the following deductions:

  • Yellow and red card: -3 points
  • Red card: -6 points

This rating is based on a complex algorithm that takes into account more than 200 raw statistics, weighted according to their influence within the game: minute in which it occurred, zone, etc. For example, a goal that gives the victory in the last minute is not as relevant as the fifth goal of a 5 - 0.

Once received, SofaScore ratings are rounded to the first decimal place and transformed according to this table:

Delayed rounds

Some Match Days can be divided due to postponed games or changes in the Calendar. As a result of these issues, each league Biwenger can choose how to manage those days between the different available modalities:

This option makes all matches treated as a single day with a single lineup per user. When the original day is disputed, this is calculated and the corresponding points and achieved point payments are given (except for ideal and profitable lineups).

Once the postponed matches are played, weeks or months later, the day is recalculated,but this time is not only taking into account all the games, but also adjusting the achieved point payments and missing points to add or subtract.

In this modality, payments by ideal and profitable lineups are credited to the last recalculation, when all matches have been played.

This modality treats the day as several independent match days, with its points and achieved point payments delivered separately and only sharing with each other the ideal and profitable lineups.

Important: This setting only applies if the new date for delayed matches is known BEFORE the round begins. Otherwise, the option used will be Single Round (recalculation).

This modality is similar to a single match day with recalculation, excluding achieved point payment or the sum of points until all the matches are played.

In this way, we avoid situations such as receiving bonuses for being at the bottom of the league, or being raised in the classification after a postponed game. In that case, the given bonuses would have to be returned. However, choosing this mode does not make a reception of achieved points payment or points until all the pending matches are played, which can be weeks or months after the start of the original match day.

The most drastic option is to completely ignore all games of the postponed match days. In this way, we could avoid that matches would punctuate or receive achieved points payment. Therefore, we could prevent problems and inconveniences in the rest of modalities.
